At this time I have not been told a release date for the next update. I do believe some new AC may be added to it, due to the long waiting time. The long waiting time is due to how long it takes to create the multiplayer mode which is basically like creating the game from scratch.
What will be available in multiplayer? Some games consider multiplayer just adding a few achievements, but it would be interesting to have more stuff for AT.

If i can remember what i was told, The Multiplayer will be on one device only, It will basically be the game except you do a turn then your friend does a turn. Basically its the game but with two players. It would not be a quick multiplayer but one that you and your friend will get the chance to do over a course of time.

Well, lets get back on the topic..

I have to say that i would really like to see the MD-11 back in the game, just like in AirTycoon 1.
I know it isn't produced anymore, but the Airbus A300 and A310 are in AirTycoon 2, but Airbus doesn't produce them anymore..
So why is there not a MD-11? KLM(Royal Dutch Airlines) Still uses 10 of them..

Suggestions for New Aircraft - Page 2 Empty ERJ-145

Post  jasp2511 Sun Jun 05, 2011 9:31 pm

Please include ERJ-145.

This is a widely used aircraft used by many airlines up and down the United States east coast.

With about 1,000 of these in service today, this would add a bit more realism in the game.

Please consider.

I think the devs are working on the update which includes ERJs. at this point we don't know what models are included.

I know it was mentioned that the MD-80s and whatnot wouldn't really contribute to the game, but I think at least MD-90s and B717s should be in there. They would certainly be priced on the cheap, and probably could even have reduced lifespans to show that they're not new planes (but, then again, neither are the A300 or A310). That said, if you can acquire several MD-90s for the price on one 737-800 (as Delta is currently doing) and live with higher fuel burn and shorter range, they could go a long way towards helping a small airline be built up.

Also, now that the A320NEO has hundreds of orders in the books, it's probably time to place it in-game. The C-Series, likewise, is fully launched and could stand to be in-game.

Suggestions for New Aircraft - Page 2 Empty Ideas....

Post  Stevedax Sat Jun 25, 2011 4:19 pm

Would it be possible to add a winglet/sharklet option to the A/C?

Currently winglets are available for retrofit on the:

767-300ER

757-200
757-300

And sharklets on new:

A320
A321

Both sharklets and winglets result in fuel savings so the quarterly costs would need to be adjusted.

Cheers

Suggestions for New Aircraft - Page 2 Empty Older Aircraft

Post  Stevedax Sat Jun 25, 2011 4:32 pm

Whilst I love the game, and appreciate all the efforts of the developers, I feel there is a case for having older aircraft types for purchase or lease.

I actually work for an airline and we have around 90 aircraft, made up of A320/21, A330-200/200, B757-200/300 and B767-300ER aircraft. However, when the need arises for additional capacity, we lease in other aircraft from other operators. Many of these are start up operators who elect older aircraft to begin with before replacing them with newer airframes.

The most popular aircrafts in this frame are:

B737-300
B737-400
MD83
MD90
DC10-10
DC10-30
L1011-100 (my personal favourite to work on!!)

Maybe introduce these as random 3 start up aircraft in each scenario, and work towards replacing them as you succeed?

Just a suggestion and loving playing this game on my iphone... passes the time well on the train to Gatwick and have had many a fellow passenger ask what I am playing.

Keep up the good work, much appreciated.

Cheers

Steve

Hi Steve,

As mentioned before we are trying to avoid older aircraft as we want our game to appeal and be more modernized. Thats why we are refraining from adding McDonnell Douglas and DC aircraft. In the future this may be a possibility but at this stage we are more focussed on Emrear, Bombardier and Comac which you guys might see more of in a later update. Cool Laughing tongue Wink

In an Airline Management game?

These planes have no contribution in the Mass Aviation business. Plus there would be a limited amount of routes these could fly on.

But thanks for the suggestion.

And what about the MD11 it's still used very often in daily aviation!
we know you want to keep the game modern, but i don't think it would be bad to add some more older aircraft that aren't build anymore but are still used by airlines!
If these planes got a shorter lifetime and are cheaper they could certainly help the AI and yourself when you begin a new airline..

(also one small question, if you play on free mode you get the option of time passing where you can choose between 0, 5, 10, 15 and 20 years. What does it mean actually??)

Concorde would be great!

Also, can we have some information on operating costs per aircraft? I'm sure not all aircraft are equally efficient and cost the same to maintain. Fuel economy varies widely, especially when comparing older and newer models.

I also agree with perhaps some Ex-USSR made aircraft such as the Antonov 125 and the giant Antonov 225, and possibly some Tupolev airraft (but appreciate they aren't as common as MD-11)

Suggestions for New Aircraft - Page 2 Empty Strange planes

Post  Cheddarball Sun Jan 01, 2012 1:54 am

Although we're trying to go for realism here I think a few strange planes would be nice. I been looking at YouTube and each plane I thought would be possible I searched on the Internet. Here are the ones that are real:

Airbus Beluga
Boeing 797 (blended wing)

Post  TJ Bender Tue Feb 07, 2012 12:07 am

The 787 is already in game, and Super Guppy? Dreamlifter? Beluga? An aircraft that died on the drawing board? I'd much rather see the 777-200LR, A350, A320neo, 737MAX, and even "older" designs like the MD-80/90/717 or 737-300/400/500 included first--and that's if any further development at all is planned for AT2, which I kind of doubt.
